The Muwekma Ohlone Tribe has updated their website and is actively pursuing federal recognition. A California Senate Joint Resolution was introduced in March 2022 to urge Congress and the Department of the Interior to restore the Bay Area-wide tribe’s status as a federally recognized tribe. The site includes a blog and numerous resources for learning.
